Biotech GPS

Cultivating Tomorrow’s Scientists and Today’s Solutions

A new program based at the North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis is bridging the gap between college classrooms and research labs, incorporating cutting-edge genomics research into college curriculum at N.C. colleges and universities.

Biotech GPS (Genomics, Plants & Students) aims to strengthen the relationship between research and education. Biotech GPS develops biotechnology collaborations between educators from colleges and universities across the country and scientists at the N.C. Research Campus in Kannapolis.

The result is a dynamic program that engages students in real-world research, facilitates meaningful life science endeavors, and creates genomic, genetic and breeding resources for blueberry and other Vaccinium species to advance ongoing education and research efforts.

Biotech GPS is mapping plant pathways and student careers!
